We operate a professional auto detailing shop. We have 'gone through' more than 25 rotary buffers in the past seven years. We've owned the good and the bad -the German and the Chinese. We're having a second go round with the Hitachi because of the great balance, substantial torque, low weight, and long (12')cord. But the main reason? That five year warranty!
Under heavy commercial use, all brands are going to break, most within 2 years. A fine tool.

I have used this regularly for over a year and it works great. I mainly use this for buffing cars and wheels and it performs great! The large handle allows for excellent leverage and the different rpm settings are a plus as well. You may find it difficult to get the proper pads for this at a reasonable price for they are hard to find. Go to Harbor Freight for those.
