Nice drill - great price Aug 09, 2010
By Jeffrey D. Hansen

Shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. Case was sealed shut with zip tie with cardboard wrapper. Drill charges quickly and works fine. Current use is outdoors with a Ergonics weed twister. More than enough power to rip out big weeds and clumps of crabgrass. Charge lasts about 30 to 45 minutes doing weeding. If you need more power than this drill can provide you probably need something with a cord.

MIxed feelings but cannot recommend Nov 13, 2010
By afree I have owned this drill for a while. Previously I owned a couple of Dewalt cordless drills.
The Hitachi looks quite garish but it has a lot of power and works very well. My only complaint, and it is serious, it that the slots in the drill, into which the clips on the battery insert to retain it, are apparently fragile. Both of mine broke off, leaving me with a drill whose battery falls out frequently. This no doubt occurred during a drop of the tool, but I have dropped my Dewalts as well and this never happened. I think this is a poor design. If not for this flaw I would recommend this drill highly. I cannot recommend it as is.

Bad experience Jul 10, 2009
By Steven Bennett Powerful and long charge time. HOWEVER,the case broke the first time it was used and the chuck is now stripped. Warranty repairs seem to take a long time too.
