not great but pretty good Apr 04, 2003
By Bruce Cadwallader This thing is a T Rex. It will cut 1/4" steel with relative ease. Cutting does require some effort and like all abrasive saws eats blades but it does a good job and will give a straight cut that looks good and is easy to true up. The saw is heavy so I would not suggest using it in any but a horizontal cut. The blade is easy to change but the blade nut should be attached to the blade washer which would ease installation.

By HANDY the saw is agood product for the money i priced other saws that were gas that were two times the price the only thing i wasnt aware of is the blades last not more than two to three minutes the diamond blade costs about one hundred dollars and can be used wet or dry the blades that come with the saw and simler blades can be purchased for about six but you would need many blades to complete a simple cut of concrete two feet long and three inches thick in half so my recomendation is to include the diamond blade and charge more it would save many blade changes and trips to the home depot.
Heavy duty saw Feb 20, 2011
By Wolf I was glade that I did not buy the 14 inch tool. This is big enough - at 24 pounds to hold the tool while cutting a vertical wall. Definately has some kick to it. I use it with a 12 inch diamond blade. For a floor cut to change the plumbing I first cut 1 inch deep while following my line. Then on the second pass cut the full thickness - 4 inches. The housing has 2 screws that allow you adjust the depth of the blade. Throws up a lot of dust but the blade will now follow the 1 inch deep cut. This tool is the least expensive way to cut concrete.
Right size, right price Dec 24, 2010
By Coal tour mine president Checking through the internet and hardware stores to find a saw that cut through our five inch rails in the mine, was very difficult, if not impossible. There were high price chop off saws that we thought were too high priced just for cutting through a few rails. This saw, cut through the rail, while spiked in position. It's just what we needed. Little heavy, but a great saw to use.
