hitachi replacement battery EB1820 Feb 17, 2010
After searching for a replacement battery that would fit the 18V Hitachi reciprocating saw and skill saw, we had almost given up. The set was 5 years old and has since been redesigned where the new batteries did not fit. We were so happy when we received the new battery shipment, that we ordered another one right away. It is great to find what you need on AMAZON, service is excellent, fast and affordable.

My husband's cordless Hitachi power tools (5 yrs. old) have been discontinued. The new tools take a longer battery, which does not fit his tools in spite of the groove they built into it - the new battery is an EB1820L (the L indicates long). I spent many hours on the computer and telephone before trying Amazon. To my surprise and delight, the correct battery (EB1820) was available at a reasonable price. I ordered it, and my husband is extremely happy with it. It charged, it fits, and it works.
